Vertical short form, run for you

Your best footage is still sitting unedited.

You record consistently. The shorts don't ship consistently. I close that gap: a steady run of verticals every week, each one cut to survive the first two seconds and built to hold the middle.

Who you're handing it to

Hi, I'm Lucas.

Video editor based in Curitiba, Brazil. I love meeting new people, cooking, and traveling to discover new cuisines.

I've been editing since 2011 and doing it professionally for the last seven years: digital product launches in Brazil, and creators and brands in Portugal, Ireland, Australia and the US. Short form is my specialty.

Outside client work, I study film at Paraná State University (Unespar) and motion design at Layer Lemonade. I'm also really into analog photography.

Selected shorts

Every one of these had to earn its first two seconds.

Muted loops, no sound, nothing playing that you didn't scroll to. Each one is how a published short opens: the first seconds, exactly as they shipped.

Cases

What the cut was actually solving.

Two pieces opened up: the goal, the call I made in the edit, and the number, if there's a real one.

Case 01 Java Challengers (Rafael del Nero)
What the video had to do

Stop Java developers who feel buried by everything they're supposed to learn, and keep them through a four-step fix without it turning into a lecture.

The decision I made

The headline is on screen before he says a word, boxed so it reads with the sound off. Each step gets its own title card, so anyone who lands at second 30 still knows where they are. One cutaway, on the line about feeling overwhelmed, the only line that needed a picture.

Case 02 Dev em Dobro
What the video had to do

Turn a tools tutorial into a lead magnet: get developers to comment one word so the automation sends them the full walkthrough.

The decision I made

I split the frame: the graphic on top, his face below, so the steps read like a checklist and he never leaves the shot. The price counts up to R$10,000 and then drops to zero, putting the whole promise in one number before step one. The call to comment is built as a chat field being typed into, so it looks like something you do, not something you're told.

You record. I handle everything after that.

Send the footage, get a first pass with the hook already in place, approve it, and the run keeps going. Tell me what you're sitting on: the more specific you are about what these shorts have to do for your business, the more useful my first reply is.

No budget field, on purpose. That conversation happens on the call.
